To help you live independently, while staying in your own home.
I offer support with personal care and medication administration , practical support in and around the home, such as cleaning and gardening. In addition I can support in accessing the community to our older/vulnerable clients. This may be to go shopping, to social meet-ups or to attend appointments.
Personal Care/Medication
Supporting with personal care, showering or strip wash depending on what the individual feels most comfortable with. Personal care is vital for the health and well-being of individuals. With personal care the individual’s needs will be taken care of with sensitivity and dignity enabling them to enjoy a better quality of life and higher self esteem. Promoting good personal hygiene helps prevent illnesses and the spread of infection.
I am fully trained in the safe administration of medication so this is another support service I can safely provide.
Companionship
A popular service which can include visiting at home for a cuppa and a chat or going on an outing. This may be to a local beauty spot or to a social meet-up. Many of our clients are unable to leave the house unsupported and as a result can become very isolated and lonely so to know someone is coming to visit every week can really lift their mood.
Meal Preparation
I am able to support with meal preparation, including breakfast, lunch and evening meal. I have up-to-date food safety certificates.
Appointments
I can accompany clients to any appointments (Hospital, Dental, Doctor’s etc).
Shopping
I can support on a shopping trip or shop for individuals if preferred. I will unpack and put away the shopping and ensure all expired food is disposed of. In addition I offer a prescription collection service.
Gardening
Includes mowing, strimming and weeding/pruning. I can take away all garden waste. I offer maintenance services such painting of sheds and fencing.
Dog walking/caring service!
I can take you dog for a walk to give them the exercise they need. I can also feed your pet if required.

Requests for my services can be made by anyone.
Many people come to me following recommendations from a friend. I work closely with health & social care professionals who will refer their clients to Home Support Pembrokeshire.
I also liaise closely with other charities and organisations who provide help & support to people in need living in Pembrokeshire.
